Club Safety and Risk Assessments
Risk Assessment
The latest risk assessment has seen the Club elevated to ‘high risk’ by the Union due to the inherently dangerous nature of the sport.
Thanks to the diligence of the members and safety orientated environment within the club there have been no serious accidents throughout the clubs history and very few minor mishaps. This is no minor achievement considering the nature of the local trails and roads, the frequency with which we ride and the range of skill levels in the club.

Good Practice Guidelines
The Good Practice Guidelines detail a list of recommended guidelines for all club activities, in order to safely cater for all members and clarify responsibilities.
Club Activities are recognised as being one or more of the following:
- - Publicised at club meetings.
- - Publicised on: club notice board, front page or calendar on the website, in weekly newsletters.
- - Funded by USport.
- - Requiring the use of any equipment owned by the club.
- - Requiring group transport booked through USport.
Organisers of club activities are bound by the conditions of the club’s constitution and must follow the Good Practice Guidelines.
The Good Practice Guidelines may be downloaded here in Adobe PDF format.
